Chapter 1 Update May 05, 2005

Hi everyone. Andy, the sound and music guy here reporting from the trenches. It’s become obvious that the May 5th deadline I set for myself was a bit over-ambitious. As I said before, we made some significant and substantial last minute changes to the picture and dialog. This ended up affecting my end of things a bit more than I had previously estimated. Rest assured though, I’m literally working 16 hours a day to finish the sound and music. I can finally see the light at the end of the hyperspace tunnel. As of this morning, sound effects editing is finally completed. All that stands between me and you is a quick Foley session, some dialog editing and mixing and a couple of music cues. I don’t want to give a precise date at this point, so all I can say is please continue your patience and keep checking back every couple of days. Again, I hope you all agree in the end that the short delay is worth it. For me, it just has to be perfect. Thank you all again for your continued support. Hang in there. We’re nearly there!

Chapter 1 Update May 01, 2005

Well, it’s May 1st, and we’re sure everyone is wondering where the first Chapter is. The answer is: very, very close. We decided to take a little more time to put the finishing touches on it. Specifically some re-recorded dialog, and a few more cuts. This of course affected the music and sound, which are currently being adjusted. Our goal is to bring you the best possible work that we can produce, and if it takes a little bit more time, then we’ll take it. We’re hoping to have everything sorted out and thrown out to the world by May 5th. But only if it’s as perfect as we can make it.

In the mean time, we have activated the link for Chapter One in the menu at the top of the page. Until the actual episode is released, you will find a wide variety of Concept Art, Story Boards and Production Stills. We sincerely appreciate your patience, and assure you that this is all worth the slight delay.

Welcome to IMPS The Relentless

Welcome to “IMPS – The Relentless.” First, we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the many hundreds of talented individuals who contributed their time and talents to this very special production.

Without you, this would not have been possible. We’d also like to thank the many thousands who have been waiting patiently for this to finally happen.

This is indeed the long awaited project formerly known as “TROOPS 2.” As we wrote and shot more and more, we realized it was becoming much more than a sequel. Eventually, it evolved into “IMPS – The Relentless.” No longer a specific parody like the original “TROOPS,” “IMPS” is more akin to a Discovery Channel documentary of a US Navy Aircraft Carrier. Our production concerns the life and missions of the crew aboard the Imperial Heavy Carrier ‘Relentless.’

Over the next nine months, join us on a journey that will take you from one end of the galaxy to another, and some unexpected places in between. The first episode will be released on May 1st.
